Canned Salmon

With the price of groceries going up and up - we are so blessed to have a way to supplement our food sources. We have been over to the other side of the bay to dip net for red salmon. As goes with all the fishing and hunting, we are learning to store all of this. Today, Kevin and I canned salmon for the first time. If you eat this salmon, you will never want to eat the stuff in the can again. Check out the finished product.

Swirly Rocks....

While Karen and Dean were here - we had an art project. We learned of this at our church's Family Camp. It was alot of fun. We picked up rocks at the beach. Then you place them in the oven at 225 for 15 minutes (longer for larger rocks). Then you use crayons to decorate. The crayons melt on the rock for a really cool look.

Aunt Karo and Uncle Deano came to town......

and we had a great time. But, know comes the deprogramming of the kids. Just a little spoilage, not bad. We love you guys and thank you for the fun time.

Happy Birthday To You... & You... & You...

This week, we have three birthdays. Cheyenne turned 15 on the 3rd, Sami turns 4 on Monday and Josh will turn 14 on Tuesday. Whew! This month can sure get expensive. For Chey's b-day, we had cake with the YWAM crew and she had bear stew for lunch. She loves her bear. Tomorrow, we will have cake at the base for Sami. She got her new bike today, though. Daddy couldn't wait. Chey got a ipod for her birthday. Josh got a new mountain bike before he left. We really miss him and hope that he has a good birthday. Here are a few pics. Karla's Visit

Aunt Karla has been visiting us this past week. We have really enjoyed having her here. We have spent time sightseeing in town and a lot of relaxing. We are really going to miss her when se leaves. Here are a few pics.
